OPEN CALL:DOC-CAMP 2025

TACTILE TERRAINS

(PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT)

Parallels Summer Documentary Camp-Lab is an exclusive creative retreat designed to stimulate new talent and cultivate new voices in the non-fiction field, promoting the decentralization of audiovisual production. This immersive program aims to construct bridges through audio-visual language between young generations of filmmakers and our communities, connecting particular stories with European realities and contexts.

Tactile Terrains proposes a gathering where the body and the territory are not metaphors but living matter. This edition of Cinema Paralleles unfolds as camp-laboratory inviting filmmakers, artists, and thinkers to walk, sense, and create through a direct connection with the landscape and with each other. In a time of hyper-abstract connectivity, we return to the ground. To the tactile. To the primal gestures of inhabiting, observing, recording, and intervening. We are drawn to cinema made with the skin.

The Camp-Lab will take place at the Pecka Visitor Center, a renowned eco-center nestled in a pristine natural environment. This retreat prioritizes creation in harmony with nature, emphasizing sustainability and mindful artistic development.
